For as long as I can remember, I've been intrigued with art, and I came to realize that a camera was a good way to express my love of it. Throughout the Southern Appalachians beauty abounds -- from the rustic and disappearing way of life to a thundering waterfall, to the setting or rising sun over a land beautifully arrayed in winter's snow, spring's glory, fall's colors or summer's charm. And I've tried to capture some of this with my camera, often visiting the same place many times over just to get the perfect moment.
